Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
- Nothing on our servers. We do not run an analytics server or user accounts. Everything FilingScope saves is stored locally in the browser's extension storage (
chrome.storage.local). - Stored locally: your settings (optional declared contact email), your saved-filing workspace, a cache of EDGAR data you fetch, daily free-tier usage counters, and your license key and the plan it unlocks.
- No analytics, no accounts, no cookies, no trackers. The extension does not phone home.
2. What we never do
- We never receive, store, or forward the filings you read or the data you export — there is no PixelForgeHub server in the path.
- We never read pages other than
sec.gov, and never crawl in the background — requests are made only in response to your actions. - We never sell, share, or rent user data, and we run no third-party trackers.

Requests to EDGAR are made directly from your browser to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and are subject to the SEC's own privacy practices. SEC's fair-access policy asks automated clients to identify a contact; the optional declared-contact email exists only for that, is sent to sec.gov only, and is never transmitted to us.
4. Your rights (GDPR + India DPDP)
- We hold no personal data about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side.
- To erase everything locally, remove the extension from Chrome (Manage Extensions → Remove). This clears stored settings, cache, workspace, and the license key.

6. License verification
This build validates license keys locally (format and tier). If a future version adds server-side verification, only the license key — never filing content or browsing data — would be sent, and this policy will be updated first.

FilingScope uses only public SEC EDGAR data and is an independent tool; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Nothing in the product is investment advice; always confirm figures against the filing itself.
