Application Pulse — Resume Matcher
Last updated: May 2026
Application Pulse is a Chrome extension built by PixelForgeHub (Yogesh Nichal). It scores your resume against the job posting you are viewing and shows the keywords you are missing. This policy explains exactly what data the extension touches and where it goes.
Summary
Application Pulse is built around one promise: your resume stays on your device. Resume parsing and all match / ATS scoring happen entirely in your browser. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no tracking. The only times the extension contacts the network are (1) a license check with Lemon Squeezy if you buy Pro, and (2) an optional AI rewrite that runs only if you add your own AI key.
What We Store Locally
The following is saved inside Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device only:
- Your resume text (parsed locally from the PDF, DOCX, or text you provide).
- Your scan settings and free-trial count.
- Your Lemon Squeezy license key and Pro status (if you upgrade).
- Your AI provider choice and API key (only if you enable AI rewrites — see below).
All of this is deleted when you uninstall the extension. None of it is synced to Google or PixelForgeHub, and your resume is never uploaded to any server.
Reading the Job Posting
When you click “Scan this page”, the extension reads the visible job-description text from the current tab and analyzes it locally to compute your match score. That job text is processed in your browser and is never uploaded. The extension can only read a job page after you grant access to that specific site (see Permissions), and only when you actively run a scan.
Optional AI Rewrite (Bring Your Own Key)
Application Pulse can rewrite a single resume bullet to better match a job. This feature is off by default and only works after you add your own AI API key(Google Gemini or OpenAI) in the Plan tab. When — and only when — you click “Rewrite”:
- The single bullet you typed, plus the target job's keywords, are sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider using your own key.
- This request never passes through PixelForgeHub servers, and your full resume is never sent — only the one bullet you choose.
- Your API key is stored only on your device and is used solely to authenticate these requests.
- If you never add a key, no AI request is ever made.
Your use of Google Gemini or OpenAI is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
License Validation
If you purchase Application Pulse Pro, the background service worker sends only your license key and an anonymous device identifier to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to verify it. No resume content or job-posting text is ever included. Payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy — see the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy.
Permissions Explained
- storage: Save your resume, settings, and license locally on your device.
- sidePanel: Run the extension's interface in Chrome's side panel.
- scripting / tabs: Read the visible job-description text from the tab you choose to scan, and identify which job page is open.
- Per-site host access: Requested only when you click “Allow on this site” for a job board you want to scan. Nothing is granted at install, and you can use the paste option without granting any site access.
- api.lemonsqueezy.com: License verification for Pro.
- generativelanguage.googleapis.com / api.openai.com: Requested only if you enable AI rewrites with your own key.
What We Do Not Do

- We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or crash reports.
- We do not require an account to use the extension.
- We do not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties.
- We do not track which websites you visit.
