PagePress — PDF Toolkit

Last updated: May 2026

PagePress is a Chrome extension built by PixelForgeHub (Yogesh Nichal). This policy explains what data the extension touches and where it goes.

Summary

PagePress runs entirely on your device. No PDF files, pages, or document contents are ever sent to any server. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. Every operation is processed locally in your browser. The only network call PagePress ever makes is a one-time license verification check with Lemon Squeezy if you purchase Pro.

What PagePress Reads & Modifies

PagePress functions as a local, client-side PDF utility. When you drag and drop or load a PDF file:

  • The file is loaded into the browser tab's temporary memory (RAM) strictly for the duration of the merge, split, reorder, rotate, compression, or conversion operation.
  • The PDF processing is handled entirely inside the client tab using bundled open-source libraries (pdf-lib and PDF.js).
  • No document content or file data is ever transmitted over the network or saved anywhere outside your browser.
  • PagePress does not access your browsing history, cookies, or website content. It has no host access to web pages.

What We Store Locally

The following data is saved inside Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device only:

  • Your Pro plan status.
  • Your Lemon Squeezy license key (if you upgrade to Pro).
  • Your daily export count (used to track the free daily limit of 3 exports).

All stored data is deleted when you uninstall the extension. None of it is synced to Google or PixelForgeHub.

Data Sent Over the Network

PagePress makes exactly one network call:

  • api.lemonsqueezy.com:When you enter a license key in the Settings drawer and click “Activate”, the background service worker sends the key to Lemon Squeezy to verify its validity. This is a direct check from your browser to Lemon Squeezy; no PixelForgeHub servers are involved.

Permissions Explained

  • storage: Required to save your Pro plan status, license key, and daily export count locally on your device.
  • host_permissions (api.lemonsqueezy.com): Required to allow the background service worker to contact Lemon Squeezy for Pro license verification.

PagePress requests no website host permissions (no access to <all_urls> or specific domains), no tabs permissions, and no scripting permissions, ensuring complete safety and zero data leakage.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or crash reports.
  • We do not require you to sign up for an account to use the extension.
  • We do not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties.
  • We do not upload, read, or process your files on any external servers.
